Our TEAM
Meet the rise up team
Jessie
Director
Jessie founded Rise Up Care in 2021 with a vision to provide meaningful, personalised support for young adults with learning disabilities. With a deep commitment to quality and compassion, she brings her passion for care, experience, and heart to everything she does. Jessie holds a degree in singing and is a lifelong music lover — it’s not unusual to hear her humming a tune around the centre!
Shelly
Day Services Manager
Shelly oversees our daytime services, ensuring every day is engaging, welcoming, and tailored to individual needs. She brings warmth, structure, and positivity to the heart of our daily support. A passionate and active soul, Shelly brings her love of yoga into the centre, often leading calming and energising sessions for those we support. She’s also an incredible dancer with a professional background — her energy, rhythm, and creativity bring a vibrant spark to everything she does at Rise Up Care.
Mel
Assistant Day Services Manager
Mel supports our young adults out in the community, helping them build confidence, skills, and independence in real-world settings. With a calm and friendly approach, she’s passionate about empowering individuals to thrive beyond the walls of our service. Mel’s happy place is the world of Disney — especially when it involves Beauty and the Beast! When she’s not out supporting in the community, she loves spending time with her dog — a loyal companion who brings her just as much joy as her favourite fairy tales.
Tracey
Support Worker
Tracey brings kindness, patience, and a natural ability to connect with individuals of all abilities. She’s dedicated to helping each person grow in confidence while enjoying meaningful activities every day. Her creativity truly shines — Tracey is incredible at arts and crafts, whether she’s designing clothing, making bags, or creating beautiful embroidery. Her passion and skill inspire those around her, and her thoughtful, hands-on projects bring joy and colour to the Rise Up Care community.
Michelle
Support Worker
Michelle is calm, friendly, and focused on helping individuals feel confident and included in everything they do. She supports people in building life skills both in the centre and out in the community, always with a thoughtful and supportive approach. Outside of Rise Up, Michelle is a qualified and experienced barber — and her eye for detail doesn’t go unnoticed. In fact, Matt’s always booking in for a haircut with her!
ALEASHA
Support Worker
Aleasha is a dedicated and compassionate member of the Rise Up Care team. She brings valuable experience, always approaching her work with patience, understanding, and a positive attitude. Aleasha takes pride in helping our young adults develop their independence and enjoys being part of the meaningful progress they make each day.
Terri
Support Worker
Terri brings a positive and creative approach to her role, helping the people she supports build confidence and independence through practical, enjoyable experiences. A passionate musician with a history of gigging locally, she often brings her love of singing and playing guitar into sessions — creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere wherever she goes. She’s also been known to love a TikTok challenge, always up for a bit of fun and keeping things current!
SAm
Lead Support Worker
Sam supports with enthusiasm and empathy, creating safe, welcoming environments for everyone he works with. He brings a practical, hands-on approach that encourages growth, independence, and social connection. A dedicated football fan, Sam also has a passion for classic cars — especially Mini Coopers. He’s even written for Mini Magazine!
Sam
Operations Manager
Sam keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes — making sure the team and the people we support have what they need in their work, schedules, and planning. Organised, approachable, and always ready to help, she bridges the gap between planning and practice. Sam’s passion? Motorbikes! She often rides on weekends and brings her adventurous spirit to work every day.
Matt
IT & Transport Manager
Matt oversees the IT and transport side of Rise Up Care, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently — from systems behind the scenes to daily logistics on the move. With a calm, problem-solving mindset and a can-do approach, he’s always ready to support both staff and the people we work with. Outside of Rise Up, Matt is an incredibly talented and creative musician and producer. He gigs regularly, playing guitar in one band and drums in another, bringing the same energy and precision to his music as he does to his work.
DaN
Support Worker
Dan is an accomplished musician who has spent many years teaching bass guitar in schools before joining Rise Up Care. His creativity and calm, structured approach translate perfectly into his support work, where he brings patience, focus, and a genuine passion for helping others. Dan’s strong work ethic and positive attitude make him a valued member of the team, always encouraging those he supports to express themselves and build confidence in their own abilities.
Louise
Support Worker
Louise has a strong background in care and brings genuine compassion and kindness to her role at Rise Up Care. She is dedicated to supporting young adults with learning difficulties, always taking the time to understand each individual’s needs and provide person-centred support. Louise’s caring nature and calm approach help create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone she works with.
